Recent developments in fire retardancy of polybutylene succinate

چکیده
Owing to the strong public concerns about environmental protection and potential energy crisis (fossil fuels), there is a global trend of substitution petrochemical-based polymers towards biopolymers. Polybutylene succinate (PBS), as an emerging biobased biodegradable polymer, has drawn great deal interest in number fields. However, high flammability PBS constitutes major obstacle for its application. In this study, based on available literature, approaches used flame retardancy are systematically reviewed. Those include inorganic (nano)particles, lignin, intumescent retardant systems. This comprehensive review aims outline recent research advances field PBS, focusing preparation, properties, mechanisms. Finally, brief summary perspective retarding also given, which may be able inspire development future
